FAQ
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 2-3 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!
Birth galleries are a little different and will be delivered in 4-6 weeks. You will receive a sneak peak of between 10-30 edited photos 24-48 after birth.
I have so many questions about birth photography, tell me more.
If you are interested in having birth photography, don't worry because there are many steps, including getting to meet me before you sign on! Many questions will be answered in a one-on-one zoom consult where you can ask questions and we get to know one another. Please visit my birth photography-doula site Pittsburgh Born Photography below for common questions and answers. https://www.pittsburghbornphotography.com/blog/faq
Where are you based and do you travel?
I''m based in Pittsburgh, PA and yes I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your story or work on a project, it will require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, every photography package requires you to put down a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Most sessions have a $200 deposit with the exception being birth, which requires $500. The remainder of the session fee is due at the time of the session.
Do you sell products after the session?
Yes, though it is not required to buy a physical product. I highly encourage all my clients to do something with their photos afterwards and not let them sit on a computer for years. Products I provide to my clients are albums, prints, canvas, and some specialty items. You will have the ability to print or make what you wish with high resolution flies I will provide to you. Choosing to go through me guarantees the highest quality and color accuracy.
Will you share my photos?
At the time of the contract there is a model release to allow me to share your photos on my website and business social media platforms. If we are doing a session that is sensitive in nature then you will have the ability to express your wishes or mark your photos that are non-shareable. Please share your concerns with me if you do not wish to have images shared.
How do you handle children?
All kids are different. The less structured the session is for little ones you know might be difficult the betters. We have to let them jump and run and play. These will be much better photos than ones of them sitting still anyway. We will try and take "posed" family shots but most of the session is fluid and full of movement. This helps the little ones so much. If they warm up to me, I let them take pictures of Mom and Dad assisting them with my fancy camera. Most of them LOVE looking through the camera and pushing that button!
